Post Card Sachets With Charm
I had so much fun making these!  I started off with some free graphics I got at the Graphics Fairy.
(You can get to her site by clicking on the link in the right sidebar.)
I used my printer (a Canon i860) to print the graphics on muslin fabric, (see instructions on how to do this with your printer on my TGIF page) then sewed a back on and stuffed them with lavender buds.
Loved the way the first one turned out so just had to make another one with a little different design.
The charms are made from real stamps that have been sandwiched
between two pieces of 1 X 1 inch glass that I then soldered together.
This is the back side of the charm.
Simply Charming....don't you think??
I thought these would make a great gift for Mother's Day!  Two gifts in one, a charm for a necklace or bracelet and a sachet to set out or tuck into a drawer or closet.
Don't forget to check out the TGIF page (at the top of this page) for how-to instructions for printing on fabric using your computer printer.  Until next time......I wish  you peace.....

  1. wow these turned out really pretty. So interesting what everyone creates from images off of her site. I just have to start doing something beside work. lol

  3. Those are so wonderful. Really neat, so romantic without being too "foofy". I have a mission to learn to solder and I will someday! Really great use of the postcard graphic!

  4. Very nice idea, I might have to copy you!
    I love lavender in dressers...
yours might be too nice to put away!
Your use of the old stamps is great, preserved and displayed at the same time!

  5. Morgane...glad you like them...and YES lovely lavender..it's a favorite in drawers for me too. I have a huge lavender plant in my backyard and it is beginning to smell really dreamy right now eventhough it is does not have buds on it yet. Thanks for stopping by.

  6. Jill....Don't be afraid to try the soldering, it just takes some practice. I just finished a class in Stained Glass and that's where I first started to solder....I LOVE it..still practicing to get the solder on more evenly but I love making these. Thanks for stopping by.

  7. Thank you for stopping by my blog ~ yours looks great and I am looking forward to catching up! Love the sachets with the charms!

  8. I really like the stamp charms and with the sachets, too - how nice!

  9. Great projects! I can't pick a favorite between the two... I love the sachet but then again, the charm is so nice. Hmmm. Two gifts in one is a nice way to go!

  10. Fabulous!! I can't imagine a prettier sachet than this one! The charm makes it really special!! Thanks so much for linking this one up for "Brag Monday".

  11. I love these postcard images you used for your sachets ~ these are beautiful! I L.O.V.E. lavender - and the charms are an added treasure! ~Marcy
